Valeriya was born Siberia in 2001. She has been living in Moscow since 2002 and showed interest in art from an early age. In 2018 she entered Moscow Architectural Institute (Department of Urban Planning), where paid special attention to the academic drawing course. In 2021 she began to exhibit her art in Moscow and collaborate with galleries. Since graduation in 2023, Valeriya Molochkova has been working in her Moscow studio as a full-time artist.

“Titles of my paintings are clue. They are like a key that open the door to my world, but beyond that it is a purely personal matter. You can look at things from different angles, turn in opposite directions and go your own way. My world accommodates everyone. A thoughtful viewer is also a creator, constantly bringing paintings to life with multiple interpretations”.

Valeriya Molochkova is a young contemporary artist
based in Moscow.
She works with graphics and traditional oil on canvas painting, often using mixed technique (graphite pencil, oil paints, oil pastels, acrylic sprays).

Valeriya reflects on current topics, goes deep into psychology. Her paintings are symbolic, filled with frank plots, contradictory thoughts and experiences. There is no concretisation - everyone may look at it through the prism of their own experience.
